Real Madrid are reportedly considering keeping Dani Ceballos at the club this summer, having previously made him available for transfer.
The 24-year-old spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Arsenal, and the Gunners were one of a number of clubs thought to be interested in signing him during the ongoing transfer window after he established himself as a key player under Mikel Arteta.
Real Betis were also considering a bid to bring him back to the club, but Spanish outlet AS reports that Madrid are now keen to keep him at the Bernabeu.
Manager Zinedine Zidane allegedly believes that Ceballos could still have a future with the newly-crowned Spanish champions and is ready to give him a chance to earn a regular starting spot next season.
The report claims that Madrid are even hopeful Ceballos could prove to be a long-term successor for Luka Modric, although the Spaniard is keen to be playing first-team football ahead of next summer's European Championship.
Ceballos made 37 appearances for Arsenal during his loan spell, scoring twice and assisting two more.
