Real Madrid are reportedly open to including James Rodriguez in a part-exchange deal for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.
While Real are said to be among a number of teams who hold an interest in the Spaniard, it is unclear whether they are prepared to meet Napoli's asking price.
However, according to reports in Spain, Los Blancos are willing to offer the Italian outfit the chance to sign Rodriguez, who is out of favour at the Bernabeu.
With the 28-year-old not featuring in La Liga since October, the league leaders are looking to part ways with the Colombia international as soon as possible.
The report adds that no deal will materialise until the summer, potentially leaving Rodriguez to link up with another team on loan for the second half of the season.
Arsenal and Everton have been credited with an interest in the playmaker.
