Istanbul Basaksehir to move for Everton midfielder James Rodriguez?

:Headline: Istanbul Basaksehir to move for Everton midfielder James Rodriguez?:
Istanbul Basaksehir are reportedly contemplating whether to make a move for Everton midfielder James Rodriguez later this week.

Everton midfielder James Rodriguez has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Istanbul Basaksehir.

Despite the Colombia international not featuring in the plans of new boss Rafael Benitez, the Toffees were unable to find a buyer for the playmaker during the closing days of last month.

That has left the possibility of one of the club's top earners not playing any competitive football for the first part of the season.

However, according to Foot Mercato, Istanbul Basaksehir are interested in securing a loan deal for the 30-year-old.

With the Turkish transfer window not closing until later this week, Istanbul are ready to act after their poor start to the domestic campaign.

Aykut Kocaman's side have recorded three successive defeats in Super Lig, scoring just one goal in the process.
