Arsenal are reportedly preparing a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has identified the midfielder as someone who can add some physicality to his ranks, and a bid this coming transfer window is understood to be planned, according to the Daily Mail.
Arsenal failed with a bid of around £19m last summer, but are ready to return at the end of the season with an improved offer after scout Steve Rowley gave a glowing recommendation having watched Bender in action a number of times.
The Gunners are currently fourth in the Premier League.
