Arsenal are reportedly preparing to offer midfielder Jack Wilshere a new five-year contract to tie his future to the club.
The 22-year-old has three years left on his current deal with the Gunners, but the club are determined to show their intent for success by securing the long-term future of Wilshere.
Arsene Wenger's side are reportedly ready to offer the England international wages in the region of £150,000 per week, which could also be boosted with bonuses, to make him one of the club's highest earners.
Arsenal are planning to speak with Wilshere and his representatives in the next two months, and are hopeful that the deal could be secured by the end of January, reports The Mirror.
Wilshere has made 14 appearances for the Gunners this season in all competitions, scoring one goal.
