West Ham United have reportedly been informed that it will cost them £12m to turn Carl Jenkinson's loan stint at Upton Park into a permanent move.
The Arsenal defender joined the East Londoners in the summer and he has gone on to make 20 appearances for the Hammers in all competitions.
He has made an impression on manager Sam Allardyce, who is eager to secure the England Under-21 international's services on a long-term basis, according to the Daily Mail.
However, the report adds that the price quoted by the Gunners would be difficult for West Ham to meet.
It is believed that they will make another approach in the summer, in the hope that Jenkinson will also stress his desire for the deal to be finalised.
