West Ham United defender Winston Reid has told the club that he would like to join Arsenal if a bid is made this month, according to reports.
The centre-back has been heavily linked with a transfer to either Arsenal or their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in this window, as his contract runs out at the end of the season.
The Mirror reports that the New Zealand international is refusing to sign a new deal at Upton Park, while manager Sam Allardyce left him out of the team that played Hull City last weekend because he considered Reid to be too distracted.
The report claims that the Hammers value Reid at £8m, although Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was hoping to sign Reid for half of that figure and Reid now fears that he is being priced out of a move.
Reid has played 23 times for the East London side this season.
