Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for former club Southampton.
The Saints will go into the January window with an additional £75m to their name after Liverpool confirmed the acquisition of Virgil van Dijk.
Walcott, meanwhile, had become Southampton's youngest ever player when he left to join Arsenal for £12m in January 2006 and has enjoyed a fruitful career with the Gunners and with England.
However, the 28-year-old now finds himself on the fringes of the first team and, according to The Mirror, the south coast side want to re-sign their former player either on loan or a permanent transfer.
This season so far, Walcott has made 13 appearances in all competitions, but none of those was a Premier League start.
