Sunderland are reportedly in negotiations with keeper Simon Mignolet to tie him down to a new deal at the club.
The Belgium international has been linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light and clubs such as Arsenal and Napoli have reported interest in the 24-year-old.
However, the Black Cats are keen to keep Mignolet on Wearside for the long term as Paolo Di Canio looks to rebuild his team after their 17th-place finish last season, reports the Sunderland Echo.
Mignolet signed for Sunderland in summer 2011 for £2m from Belgian side Sint-Truiden.
