Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey will reportedly put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Arsenal this evening.
The Gunners have triggered the 27-year-old's €50m (£45.4m) release clause and now face a race against time to push the transfer through before tonight's 11pm deadline.
Thomas is currently undergoing the first part of his medical in Spain, with the second part expected to be completed in London later tonight before the deal is announced.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that personal terms have already been agreed between the two parties, with the Ghanaian set to sign a five-year deal keeping him at the Emirates Stadium until 2025.
Thomas will become Arsenal's most expensive signing of the summer window and will join following the departure of Matteo Guendouzi on loan to Hertha Berlin.
The Gunners had also been interested in a deal for Lyon's Houssem Aouar, but made a late move for Thomas after seeing those talks collapse.
