Arsenal midfielder Reiss Nelson is reportedly on the radar of two Premier League clubs, who are eager to acquire his services this summer.

The 24-year-old signed a new contract extending his stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2027, with an option for an additional 12 months last July.

Nelson started only one match for the Premier League runners-up last season and failed to record a single goal or assistant in his 15 appearances.

The Englishman has also played senior football abroad during loan spells with Feyenoord and Hoffenheim.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for the 24-year-old, as they look to raise funds to bring in new players this summer.

Reiss Nelson attracting PL clubs' interest

Nelson is believed to be valued at around £30m, and having come through the ranks at Arsenal, his sale would be considered pure profit to the North Londoners.

The report adds that West Ham United and Nottingham Forest are the clubs interested in the services of the attacking midfielder, and have made contact with the Gunners over a potential deal for this summer.

The Hammers are believed to be planning for the potential departure of Lucas Paqueta, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City.

Forest, on the other hand, could lose Morgan Gibbs-White, with Tottenham Hotspur seeming like his most likely next destination.

Brighton & Hove Albion are also said to be interested, though they have not made a formal approach for the player as yet.

It is understood that Nelson is also keen to secure a transfer away from the Emirates in search of regular playing time.

Considering the Englishman is not in Mikel Arteta's plans for next season, a move away from London is likely to suit both parties.

Arsenal set for busy transfer window

Should Nelson be sold this summer, Arsenal are expected to use the funds generated to bring in a new number nine, following a relatively poor season from Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

The Gunners have been linked with several high-profile forwards in recent weeks, including the likes of Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres and Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen.

Additionally, there have been several reports in recent weeks suggesting that Arteta is currently in talks with Aston Villa over the signing of central midfielder Douglas Luiz.

The Brazilian was a standout performer for the Villans last season, featuring in 35 Premier League games, scoring nine goals and providing five assists.

It is understood that the club see him as the ideal partner for Declan Rice in the heart of the Gunners' midfield. body check tags ::
