Ajax captain Jan Vertonghen has revealed that he would prefer a move to Tottenham Hotspur over Arsenal.
The Belgian centre-back has been chased by the North London rivals as both teams look to improve their defences.
However, the 25-year-old now looks destined for a £9.6m move to White Hart Lane, according to The Guardian.
It was revealed earlier this week that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy flew to Amsterdam to hold talks over a possible deal.
"I have a preference for Spurs," said Vertonghen. "I've got the best feeling for that club and I'm a 'feeling person'.
"They already invited me and want to handle it quickly. They say I'm their only option, which I take as a compliment."
Vertonghen came through the youth ranks at the Amsterdam ArenA, making his debut in 2006.
