Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a bid for West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson, according to a report.
Manager Harry Redknapp is ready to shell out £3m for the Swedish centre-back, The Mirror claims.
Olsson, who has one year remaining on his contract, has been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns after admitting that he is seeking new opportunities.
"I've been here for four years now and perhaps it is not wise to become too rooted in one place," he is quoted as saying.
"If I want to move back to Sweden when my career's over, there are a lot of things I have to consider."
Spurs are looking to bolster their defence ahead of the new season, and are also expected to complete the signing of Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen.
Nottingham Forest's £1m-rated teenager Jamaal Lascelles is also said to be on Redknapp's shopping list.
