Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that the club are currently speaking with the agents of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil as they look to agree new deals with the pair.
The club's two star players have been linked with transfers elsewhere, with it being claimed that Manchester City want Sanchez and Ozil failing to rule out a future return to Real Madrid.
However, as calls for fresh contacts to be offered and agreed intensify, Wenger has confirmed that negotiations are ongoing.
The Frenchman told reporters: "I would like to say that the luxury in the modern game should be it is not only about the money. The players make good money anyway.
"You negotiate more with the agents than the player so we are in negotiations, of course it is normal."
Sanchez has netted 13 times in 19 appearances this season, while Ozil has eight goals to his name from 18 outings.
