Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh have been allowed to leave the club, with official confirmation of exits for both players due early next week.
After two weeks of negotiations, the Gunners have accepted a bid for Gervinho from Roma, with the forward spotted arriving in Italian capital Rome earlier this evening.
Chamakh is in talks over a move closer to Arsenal, with Wenger confirming that Premier League newcomers Crystal Palace want the Moroccan striker.
He told the club's official website in a brief statement: "Gervinho is on a good way to Roma, and Chamakh is on a good way to Crystal Palace."
The departures of the unsettled strike duo continue a summer clear-out at the Emirates Stadium, with Andrey Arshavin, Denilson and Johan Djourou among the players finding new clubs since the end of last season.
