Wales starlet Jonathan Williams has admitted that it would be a "dream" to play alongside Aaron Ramsey for his country after he helped him through a career-threatening injury.
The 19-year-old is ready to make his full international debut on Friday, just 16 months after suffering a horrific broken leg while on Under-21 duty against Armenia.
However, the Crystal Palace midfielder, who has since recovered to shine for his club, admits that he owes a lot of that to the advice of his compatriot, who suffered a similar injury for Arsenal in 2010.
"[Ramsey] sent me a really nice text when I was first injured, which was completely unexpected and it meant so much to me that I have still got it on my phone," Williams told the Daily Star.
"He gave me good advice and when I was first coming back he talked to me again. It was great to have that help.
"It would be a dream to play alongside him now. I remember watching him when I was younger and I still remember the terrific goal he scored against Scotland in 2009. If he can do that again tomorrow, it would be good."
Wales travel to face Scotland at Hampden Park on Friday.
