Geoffrey Kondogbia has claimed that Monaco were not surprised by their performance in the 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Monaco claimed the advantage in the Champions League last-16 tie with a vital away win in North London, but Kondogbia insists that the visitors were confident of shocking the Gunners.
"We're not surprised. We know our capacities. We knew that we had to be at 200% to have a chance," the French midfielder, who opened the scoring in the win, told UEFA's official website.
"We prepared for this game well. We knew we could do it if we had few chances.
"It's true we didn't expect to win with a two-goal gap. My goal, I knew before receiving the ball from Joao [Moutinho] that I would try my luck."
Monaco host Arsenal in the second leg at the Stade Louis II on March 17.
