There were no goals in the first half of the Ligue 1 match between Montpellier HSC and AS Monaco this evening.
The home side had a good spell of possession at the start of the match, but it was Monaco who created the first chance of the encounter when Joao Moutinho tested Geoffrey Jourdren with a shot from outside the box, but the Montpellier keeper held on.
Radamel Falcao had a couple of chances either side of the half-hour mark, but saw his first shot saved, before a second effort was blocked.
The Colombian had another chance late on with a free kick after Ricardo Carvalho was fouled just outside the box by Anthony Mounier, but the strike was high and wide.
Montpellier struggled to create chances throughout the opening 45 minutes, having just one shot before the half-time whistle.
