AS Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has hailed the "united" qualities of his side as they overcame Lens 2-0 during week 16 of the Ligue 1 campaign.
The hosts were able to claim a comfortable win despite the early dismissal of Wallace for a high boot, with Dimitar Berbatov and Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco both registering in the second half to earn their side three points.
"It's an important win and a deserved one. The squad showed they are united," Jardim told reporters after the game.
"When we went down to ten men, we didn't leave them any space to counter-attack. We were able to contain them despite our numerical inferiority.
"The team showed intensity and ambition. It's good for the confidence that Dimitar scored again."
The victory sees AS occupying eighth position in the Ligue 1 table on 23 points.
