Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has heaped praise on Dimitar Berbatov following the team's 1-0 victory away at Nice in Ligue 1.
The main plaudits went to midfielder Bernardo Silva as his late strike ensured Monaco victory despite the sending off of Aymen Abdennour, but Jardim was also keen to highlight the contribution of Berbatov at the Allianz Riviera.
"Nice started really well, but from the 25th minute onwards we controlled the match," said Jardim, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
"We played really well in the second half. It was difficult playing with ten men against eleven but we played well.
"Our opponents didn't have big chances. Dimitar Berbatov played with intensity for an hour and put in the tactical work we needed."
The win leaves Monaco sitting in fourth spot in the Ligue 1 standings.
