AS Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has said that his side did not deserve to lose away at Lyon on Friday night.
Jardim's side suffered their third loss of the season following goals from Lyon's Nabil Fekir and Corentin Tolisso, with the Monaco coach suggesting that he felt the result was an unfair one on his team.
"It was an evenly-balanced game, and the result was unfair on us. If we'd been clinical, the result would have been completely different," Jardim told reporters after the game.
"We made the best chances, six or seven of them, and away from home too, but unfortunately we only scored once.
"Our opponents were much more clinical, and scored twice. The squad is sad because we had been aiming to win. We played well."
The result sees Monaco, Ligue 1 runners up last season, sitting in 17th position in the table.
