Monaco have defeated Guingamp 1-0 at Stade Louis II to get their Ligue 1 campaign back on track.
The home side looked bright in the early stages of the game, although it took them until the 38th minute to make the breakthrough courtesy of Nabil Dirar who found the net following Joao Moutinho's free kick.
Moutinho caused panic in the opposition box once more with another set piece shortly after the interval, but Guingamp managed to hold strong and clear their lines.
The Portugal international was lively throughout, and he looked to have won his side a penalty 13 minutes from time, but the referee instead awarded him a yellow card for simulation.
The Red and Whites were able to hold out for the remainder of the game, however, to climb up to 15th place in the league table.
