Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has made his comeback on the pitch by playing for the club's Under-23s on Monday evening.
The 22-year-old has been out of action for three months due to kidney problems that he suffered on the eve of the new Championship season.
The England Under-21 international returned to full training last week and got his first taste of match action when the U23s faced Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League 2 match in Telford.
Grealish, who scored five goals and produced two assists in 31 league appearances last season, played 60 minutes of the encounter before leaving the pitch unscathed.
Meanwhile, Villa's eight-game unbeaten run came to an end at the weekend when they lost 2-0 to Championship leaders Wolves.
