Kasper Schmeichel has confirmed that he suffered a hand injury during Leicester City's recent Premier League fixture against Aston Villa.
The Foxes were defeated 2-1 within the match, which featured several VAR controversies, one of which involved the shot-stopper.
Schmeichel had his hand on the ball during one moment in the game, only for Jacob Ramsey to smash the ball into the back of the net, which was eventually deemed a foul.
However, that incident has left the goalkeeper with a thumb injury which he admitted might need to be checked via x-ray in the future.
"He has absolutely whacked my hand, my thumb is numb at the moment. We will have to see exactly [if] it is an x-ray, whatever it needs. But it is a foul, it is clear," he told Sky Sports.
"Not very good. Like I say, we will have to have a check with the doctors, but I have had hand injuries before and played with them, so that is not really an issue."
Leicester City will be back in action on Thursday night when they travel to face Napoli in their final Europa League group fixture. body check tags ::
