Roy Hodgson will reportedly include Charlie Austin in his England squad for next month's international matches against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia.
The striker has found the net on 17 occasions for relegated Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League this term.
That form has captured the attention of Hodgson, who will reward the 25-year-old with his first ever call-up at senior international level, according to ESPN.
The report adds that Austin is likely to benefit from the omission of Tottenham Hotspur youngster Harry Kane, with suggestions that he will feature for Gareth Southgate's Under-21 side at the European Championships this summer.
Aston Villa loanee Tom Cleverley, who has not played for the Three Lions since 2013, is also said to be in contention for a recall to the squad, which will be named on Thursday.
