Former England defender Ugo Ehiogu believes that Norwich City manager Paul Lambert would be a brilliant manager for Aston Villa.
The former Villa defender insists that the club needs a young manager who encourages entertaining football and feels that Lambert would fit the bill perfectly.
"I think [Lambert] would be an excellent choice," Ehiogu told talkSPORT.
"He hasn't had a lot of money to spend [at Norwich] but even if they looked at a young, up and coming coach, someone not as experienced as Paul Lambert then Karl Robinson at MK Dons is a superb coach, he's very good technically and they play good football.
"Villa fans won't mind developing youth and not spending money as long as you try to play the right way. I think they would take that and someone like Karl Robinson who is young, enthusiastic and his teams play well. They are as good going down that road as any."
Alex McLeish was sacked as the manager of the Villa Park outfit on Monday.
