Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has revealed that he decided to sign a new contract because everything is secure at the club.
Yesterday, the Scotsman penned a contract extension until June 2018 following the side's positive start to the season.
Villa are currently second in the Premier League table, two points behind leaders Chelsea following three victories and a draw.
"The chairman has been great and I can't ask any more from him," Lambert told reporters. "He has been right behind the vision we have for the club. Everything is in a great place here at the moment. We've had a strong start to the season and players are also signing new contracts."
Villa will take on Arsenal on home turf this weekend.
