Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has told his players not feel sorry for themselves following Sunday's 8-0 thumping at Chelsea.
The Villans were comfortably beaten at Stamford Bridge in what was the club's record defeat in all competitions.
"There's no magic formula to get over it, the mark of good players and team is how you react," said Lambert. "There's no point in feeling sorry for ourselves.
"The players know my feelings on the game. I don't think you need to be Einstein to tell them what's gone wrong, they know exactly what's happened. We've only got a few days to get over this."
Villa, who are three points above the relegation zone, have the chance to get back to winning ways when they host Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.
