Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has expressed his belief that his side's home form will improve this season because they are mentally stronger than in previous campaigns.
Lambert's men won just six games at Villa Park last season as they struggled to find their form in front of their home crowd.
The Scot feels that the additions of several experienced players has helped build a stronger will within his squad.
"There's a different feeling about the place," Lambert told reporters. "I don't see the playing at home thing being a problem anymore – I certainly hope not.
"We are definitely stronger mentally and physically. I don't have any fear about our home form.
"I've seen Villa Park when it is rocking and if we can get that more times than not this season then it's one hell of a place to play."
Villa face Newcastle United at Villa Park later today.
