Alex McLeish is reportedly expected to be relieved of his duties as Aston Villa manager today.
Reports emerged claiming that the Scotsman is due to discuss his future with chairman Randy Lerner and chief executive Paul Faulkner this week following a disappointing first season with the Villains.
It is believed that the former Birmingham City manager will pay for the club's woeful campaign by losing his job today, according to the Birmingham Mail.
McLeish lost the support of the majority of the club's supporters after plunging the Midlands side into a relegation battle towards the closing stages of the season.
Villa finished their campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Norwich City, which is thought to have been the final straw for the American owner.
