Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner reportedly flew into Britain earlier today in order to hold talks with new manager Tim Sherwood.
The 46-year-old was appointed as boss of the struggling Premier League side earlier this week following the recent departure of Paul Lambert.
It is claimed by the Daily Star that Lerner jetted in from his American home in order to hear Sherwood's survival plans in person, with the Villans currently camped inside the bottom three.
Lerner is also said to have overlooked a training session at the club's Bodymoor Heath training ground this morning, although he is not expected to be around for Villa's vital clash against Stoke City at the weekend.
Meanwhile, the West Midlands outfit are rumoured to be close to naming Mark Robson as first-team coach.
