Aston Villa have been held to a 1-1 draw by Walsall at the Banks's Stadium.
After a competitive opening, Villa took the lead midway through the first half through Callum Robinson, who controlled Libor Kozak's cross before finding the back of the net.
Three minutes later, Scott Sinclair almost doubled Villa's lead, but after rounding the goalkeeper, he saw his shot cleared off the line by James Demetriou.
Shortly before the break, Walsall found an equaliser after Anthony Forde's free kick took a wicked deflection before finding the corner.
The second half proved to be less eventful, with Robinson miscuing an effort for Villa while Walsall defender Adam Chambers tested Jed Steer with a decent strike.
The Saddlers created a late chance through Tom Bradshaw, but after his left-footed shot was saved by Steer, the match petered out to a draw.
