Aston Villa have confirmed that Aly Cissokho will spend the season on loan at Porto.
The 27-year-old Frenchman played for the Portuguese club for a short spell back in 2009 before joining Lyon.
Cissokho made 27 appearances for the Villans last season.
Aston Villa start the new Premier League season on Saturday with a trip to Bournemouth.
