Aston Villa have reportedly been offered the chance to sign veteran centre-back Nemanja Vidic.
The former Manchester United captain is a free agent following his release by Inter Milan earlier this week.
It had been suggested that the MLS was the 34-year-old's most likely destination, but he would first prefer to have another stint in the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.
The report adds that Villa have started discussions with Vidic's representatives over a potential six-month contract.
Vidic joined Inter in the summer of 2014 and he went on to make 28 appearances for the Serie A club.
