Aston Villa have reportedly identified AC Milan forward Krzysztof Piatek as a potential January signing.
As a result of Wesley being ruled out for the rest of the season, Villa boss Dean Smith is eager to boost his options in the final third before the end of the month.
According to Corriere della Sera, the Premier League side have taken an interest in Piatek, who may be pushed down the pecking order at San Siro due to the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Since costing Milan a fee of £30m at the start of 2019, the Poland international has scored 15 goals from 39 appearances in all competitions.
However, just four of those strikes have come during the current campaign, meaning that the 24-year-old faces a fight to keep his place in the starting lineup.
West Ham United are also said to be monitoring the situation, aware that Milan may be willing to consider recouping the money they paid for the frontman.
