Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target for Aston Villa.
During his opening 11 months at Ibrox, Kamara has made 45 appearances, with 42 of his outings coming from the starting lineup.
The 24-year-old has established himself as one of Steven Gerrard's key men, while the Finland international still has three-and-a-half years left on his contract.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Villa are considering whether to try to tempt the Scottish Premiership team into a sale.
Having fallen into the Premier League relegation zone, Villa will be in the market for fresh faces when the transfer window opens on Wednesday.
A replacement is needed for John McGinn, who is likely to be on the sidelines until March with a fractured ankle.
