Aston Villa are reportedly still interested in signing free agent James Collins.
The 35-year-old was released from West Ham United in the summer after a decade at the club spread over two stints.
Collins has 14 years of experience in the Premier League and has represented Wales 51 times, leaving a number of Championship clubs keen on the centre-back.
According to the Daily Mail, Collins has been invited to train at Villa after he recovers from a minor muscle injury.
The report adds that manager Steve Bruce is also considering the return of former Chelsea captain John Terry on a short-term deal.
