Aston Villa are reportedly ready to revive their interest in Angers midfielder Baptiste Santamaria this summer.
Dean Smith's side are understood to have made an approach for the 25-year-old in January, only for Angers to knock back their offer after holding firm on their asking price.
However, Sevilla ABC reports that the Ligue 1 outfit are expecting renewed interest in him when the transfer window reopens, with Villa among the clubs lining up a bid.
The Premier League outfit's transfer plans would be altered if they suffer relegation to the Championship, though, as Santamaria is unlikely to accept a move to the second tier of English football.
Sevilla and Villarreal are also thought to be keeping tabs on the France Under-20 international, while West Ham United have been linked with an interest in the past.
Santamaria, who plays mainly as a defensive midfielder, has made 30 appearances for Angers across all competitions this season.
