Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has revealed that he remains hopeful of signing Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan.
The Championship club have had a bid accepted for the Scotland international, but a deal remains on hold due to a disagreement over personal terms.
"We're exploring all options," Bowyer told BBC Sport. "There may be a chance it might happen, and if not we'll be prepared for it not happening. We've just got to keep as many plates spinning as we can."
Rovers start the new season with a trip to Derby County on Sunday.
