Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has fuelled speculation that defender Stephen Warnock will be sold this summer.
The 30-year-old did not travel to Germany for the club's 3-3 draw with Werder Bremen on Saturday, despite being fit. Instead, Enda Stevens and Fabian Delph shared the left-back duties.
Lambert told the Birmingham Mail: "I decided to go with that squad there that came over, and that's all there is to it.
"There's no update on Stephen Warnock or anything like that, it's just that that's the squad I chose to bring and that's all that I'll say about it really.
"He's done really really fine, but those were the ones I decided to bring."
Warnock's current contract at Villa Park expires in June 2013.
