Rangers have reportedly identified Aston Villa forward Ross McCormack as a possible signing.
Manager Steven Gerrard has publicly acknowledged that he wants to strengthen his first-team squad before the end of August, and it appears that an approach for the Scotland international is being considered.
According to The Express, the Glasgow giants are interested in providing McCormack with a way out of the West Midlands outfit.
The 32-year-old has no future at the Championship side, and Villa are keen to find a way for the attacker to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
McCormack is no stranger to Rangers, with the player having started his professional career at Ibrox, making 14 senior appearances before making the switch to Doncaster Rovers.
