Championship promotion chasers Aston Villa could make a move for FC Koln striker Jhon Cordoba in January, according to a report.
The 24-year-old, well known for his long-range strike against Arsenal in this season's Europa League, also boasts experience of playing in Spain.
Villa are now said to be looking into the prospect of signing the former Colombia Under-20s international, who has scored two goals in 10 games since joining in a reported £13m transfer from Mainz 05.
The Sun reports that Cordoba is said to already be out of favour under boss Peter Stoger and will be free to leave in the New Year if his valuation is met.
Villa are on the lookout for another striker after offloading Ross McCormack to Melbourne City on a season-long loan at the end of last month.
