Aston Villa are likely to miss out on Bas Dost over the summer as Dutch club Heerenveen look to hold on to their striker.
The 22-year-old has recently been linked with a £7m move to the Premier League side.
However, incoming Heerenveen boss Marco van Basten will be hoping to persuade Dost to stay, according to The Mirror.
Van Basten signed a two-year contract with the Eredivisie team in February.
