Aston Villa have reportedly pulled out of talks to sign striker Dimitar Berbatov.
Earlier on Tuesday, reports emerged that Villa were in discussions with the former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United attacker, who is out of contract after departing Monaco in the summer.
However, according to BBC Sport, the West Midlands outfit have ended their interest in Berbatov after being discouraged by the Bulgarian's wage demands.
Villa are also said to be interested in Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle, but an offer has been turned down by the Eagles.
