Celtic manager Ronny Deila backs Stefan Scepovic to continue finding the net after scoring against Astra Giurgu.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila said that he is "pleased" for striker Stefan Scepovic after the Serbian found the net during his side's 2-1 win against Astra Giurgu in the Europa League.

The Norwegian admitted that the forward was relieved to find his scoring touch, but backed him to add to his goal tally throughout the season.

"Scepovic had two good chances and I'm very happy that he eventually got a goal," BBC Sport quotes him as saying. "It was a big relief for him and I'm sure it won't be the last goal we see from him."

Deila expressed mixed feelings about his side's performance, confessing that he was disappointed his team allowed the opposition to get back into the game by shipping a goal.

"When we got to 2-0, I thought the game was over, but they got back into it, which was disappointing," he said. "I am very happy for the three points of course. We gave them chances with some bad passing and going too slow, with too many passes on the ball.

"In the end, we had eight chances, which is good in the end, but we have to move the ball quicker. "

The result leaves Celtic in first place in Group D with seven points from their three matches.
