Sporting Lisbon have earned a narrow 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.
After a goalless first half, Bilbao scored a precious away goal in the 54th minute when Jon Aurtenetxe Borde capitalised on Stijn Schaars's poor backpass to convert from close range.
Sporting got themselves level after 74 minutes as Emiliano Insua pounced in the area to head home after the visitors had failed to clear their lines.
The turnaround was complete with 10 minutes to play thanks to Diego Capel's stinging drive from the edge of the box.
