Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Muniain has said that Munir El Haddadi's recent call-up into Spain's senior squad is acting as motivation for those in the Under-21 side.
Muniain is the current captain of Spain's Under-21 outfit, but has not made the senior squad since a friendly against Venezuela in 2012.
"We're all hoping to reach the senior team one day and when you see teammates being called up, it makes you realise that you are that much closer," he told reporters.
"Everyone who comes to play for the U21 side, works to the fullest [to make it to the senior side]."
Munir, 19, replaced the injured Diego Costa in the La Roja squad last week and made his debut in last night's 5-1 win over Macedonia.
