Athletic Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde has admitted that Sunday's 2-0 win over Real Betis "was an ugly game".
Betis finished the match with nine men during an ill-tempered affair in Seville, but Valverde refused to praise his side despite securing the three points.
"It was an ugly game. Playing against nine men feels like a draw to me. All we did was take advantage of the misfortune of our rivals," he told reporters at a press conference.
"I have a feeling that we could have done more. We were superior, there's no doubt about that. But I get the feeling that was only because Betis had nine."
Meanwhile, Betis boss Gabriel Calderon has criticised referee Jesus Gil for his performance.
