At least two people are reported to have died after a fight broke out between two sets of rival supporters in a Mexican top-flight match.
Reigning Liga MX champions Atlas paid a visit to Queretaro and took a 1-0 lead before fans from both sets of supporters groups charged at one another just after the hour mark.
The game was abandoned as the violence spilled out onto the pitch, with families fleeing as aggressors struck one another with objects such as chairs and trash cans.
According to the Daily Mail, two people are confirmed to have lost their lives, with as many as 22 injured as a result of the mass stadium brawl.
Unofficial reports stated that up to 17 people died in the fights, with graphic images on social media displaying half-dressed supporters lying on the ground by pools of blood.
Liga MX has insisted that an 'in-depth investigation' will take place to determine the cause of the brawl. body check tags ::
