Atletico Madrid right-back Juanfran has backed goalkeeper Jan Oblak to impress should the Slovenian start Wednesday's Champions League clash against Juventus.

Oblak made his Atletico debut in the Spanish side's first Group A clash against Olympiacos and was criticised for his part in the Greek side's three goals.

However, Juanfran has thrown his weight behind the young stopper.

"The one who plays will do well. For us our goalkeepers are the best and either of them can perform at the maximum level, but the most important thing is to win and keep a clean sheet," Juanfran told reporters.

"If Jan happens to play he'll do well. In any case we are going to win and that will dispel any doubts."

Atletico reached the final of the Champions League last season before losing to Real Madrid.
